8u/Mite Leadership

South Pittsburgh Rebellion would like to announce our ADM Coordinator and Red Team head coach for the 2023/2024 Season. These two individuals will help drive our 8u/Mite development next season along with our coaching staff.

8U Coordinator – Nate Reitmeyer
Nate played for the Mt. Lebanon Hornets amateur program for 14 years, getting to play in tournaments all throughout the U.S. and Canada. He also played for Baldwin and South Park high school JV programs for 3 years, and 4 years of Varsity for Bethel Park. Most of the ice time since then has been playing Men’s “A” League out of Bethel and Ice Castle. For the last 4 years, Nate has committed most of his time towards coaching beginning at SHAHA before moving over to the South Pittsburgh Rebellion.

Here’s a quick summary about Nate Reitmeyer on a personal level. He is 46 years old, married to his wife Kristin, and has 3 kids while living in South Fayette. His daughter Harper completed her final year of Mites and will play in Squirts next year. His son Hudson will be starting his second year of Mites this upcoming season, and it’s his hope that his youngest son Hayden, who is 2, has the desire to follow in their footsteps.

Nate spent 5 years on active duty in the Marine Corps. He then attended the University of Pittsburgh for 4 years. Following college, Nate worked in a capacity for the government for 9 years and is now currently in his 8th year as a deputy with the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office.
