South Pittsburgh Rebellion would like to announce that Darby Kern has been added to the 14u McVay team as an assistant coach. Darby Kern also has a long hockey resume as a player.

Played NCAA Division 1 at Penn State 2012-2014

Played ACHA Division 1 Club at Penn State 2014-2016

In 2015 won ACHA league scoring title, 1st Team All American, finalist for Zoe M Harris Most Valuable Player award, won team most valuable player award

In 2016 came in 3rd in league scoring, 2nd Team All American, won team most valuable player award

Played for Pittsburgh Penguins Elite Tier 1 (formerly Team Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Iceburghs) from 2005-2012, making it to the USA National tournament 4 times

Made USA National Camp in 2010

First girl to make and play for the Peters Township Varsity team in 2011/12

Assistant coach for PIHL Girls High School Southeast Team in spring 2022
