Brian Bozarth

I’m proud to be running for a third term on the South Pittsburgh Rebellion board, continuing what has been an incredibly rewarding eight-year journey with the organization from mites to bantam. As the parent of a 2011 birth-year player, Southpointe has become not only our home rink but also a core part of our hockey community.

Since first joining the board in 2021 as Director of Technology, I’ve been a consistent presence—attending every board meeting and actively contributing to organizational planning and decision-making. My current roles include managing all Rebellion social media, website content, TeamSnap operations, and online communications with both returning and new families. I also coordinate the check-in desk at tryouts and handle roster building and invoicing in TeamSnap.

In my first term, I led the successful rebrand from Rink Rats to South Pittsburgh Rebellion, designing the logo, jerseys, and visual identity still in use today. I’ve also organized multiple holiday apparel sales with unique designs for both on-site and contactless delivery.  I’ve also completed a successful upgrade to the latest version of TeamSnap for Business.

Professionally, I’m a Carnegie Mellon graduate, a founding member of two tech startups, and now a senior developer and mentor at Chemistry Communications, a marketing agency serving a wide range of clients.

With a deep understanding of how the organization runs and a strong commitment to its future, I look forward to the opportunity to continue serving the Rebellion community.

Tim Creahan

I’m proud to have two children playing for the South Pittsburgh Rebellion—one on a Birth Year team and the other on a girls team, after previously playing at the B level. Our family has only ever played for the Rebellion (and the Rink Rats before that), which has given me a deep understanding of the unique needs across all team levels. Whether it’s a Birth Year or a B-level team, I believe both are equally important to the success of our organization.

I have served on the Rebellion Board for the past four years—one year as Treasurer and the previous three years as VP of Coaching. I’m proud of the fact that we’ve built an organization that offers more ice time than any other program in PAHL while keeping our costs significantly lower than other organizations in Western PA.

This upcoming season will be my 8th year coaching with the Rebellion and my 6th year as head coach of the 2011 Birth Year team. In the 2024-2025 season, I led the 2011 team to a playoff championship in the 14U AA2 Division, following a 2023-2024 season where we won both the PAHL regular season and playoff championships in the Pee Wee AA Division. I’ve also coached at every level, from Mites with the Southpointe Rink Rats to assisting the Squirt B team in a season-ending championship.

In addition to hockey, I’ve been actively involved in the South Fayette community, coaching the Jr. Lions hockey development program and the Middle School team, as well as coaching soccer and baseball for both my son and daughter. Originally from Buffalo, NY, I grew up playing amateur hockey for the Amherst Knights and continue to play today. I’m passionate about coaching and committed to helping our players grow both on and off the ice.

Zak DiGorio

My experience in the world of hockey has spanned for over thirty (30) years as a player and as a coach from 8U Mites to High School Varsity Hockey. I am currently the Head Coach of the SPHC 12U Top General Team as well as the Assistant to the Mite Coordinator at the 8U Level within the Rebellion Program. I have also been a head coach for the last three seasons within the organization for both my sons Zachary (12U) and Greyson (8U) respective teams.  We are always accompanied to these events by my wife Natalie and my twin daughters Evelyn and Miriam who are six years old.

Although I have never been on an Executive Board, during my working career through construction I have worked closely with a variety of School and Hospital Boards to know that I possess the intangibles to work diligently and honestly for the betterment of the program.  The reason for me running for this position is to hopefully assist on all fronts for this hockey club.  Given my career as a project manager and estimator with general construction as well as facilities management I would want to assist in finding ways to continue to build up our program as well as make cost effective decisions to make a more affordable future in this sport for families.

In addition, the knowledge I’ve accrued through past experiences in coaching I firmly believe can aid newer coaches to strengthen the standard of our staffs at every level and division within our organization.  A main focus of mine would be to maintain a presence and my voice on behalf of the families and players who are a part of the 8U Mite Program even after my youngest child moves on to Squirts and above.  I take great pride in the processes and style I use in practice planning to develop players and also feel that this avenue allows me to extend that positive impact across our program.

I appreciate the consideration for voting for me as I can assure all families that I will always keep an open line of communication, an unbiased nature and truthful approach in all that I do to best serve the great families and players of the South Pittsburgh Rebellion!

Zach Gray

I am seeking re-election to the South Pittsburgh Rebellion board, where I have proudly served for the past four years. My passion for youth hockey and dedication to the Rebellion’s growth have driven me to help make our organization the top program in the region.

As a board member, I’ve served as the ice, referee, and EMT scheduler—coordinating over 2,000 ice slots and 400 games each year. I’ve worked closely with Printscape Arena management and our coaches to run a smooth, balanced schedule across all levels. I helped lead major initiatives including our rebrand, the successful launch of TK Training Academy and integrated goalie training, and the implementation of 60-minute ice slots and hybrid practices to give our players more development time. I’ve also contributed to team growth—from 16 to 25 teams over the past four seasons—and played a key role in planning for the Rink 2 expansion.

I am currently the head coach for the 2013 (12U) team and serve as an assistant coach for the 2016 (10U) team. I hold a Level 4 USA Hockey coaching certification and am entering my sixth season as a head coach with South Pittsburgh. My background also includes 18 years as a USA Hockey-certified referee, including nine at Level 4. As a former AA travel and four-year varsity player and two-time PIHL All-Star, I bring both playing and coaching experience. I also served as assistant 8U coordinator during a period of significant growth and remain an on-ice tryout evaluator each season—giving me insight across all age groups.

Professionally, I’ve worked in accounting and finance for 18 years and currently serve as Controller for a $200M industrial construction company, where I lead a team of 25. I hold an MBA and apply my experience in operational efficiency, financial leadership, and strategic planning to my work with the board.

I am committed to continuing to build value for our members, support all levels of the organization, and maintain South Pittsburgh Rebellion’s reputation as the best youth hockey program in the region. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished and excited for what’s ahead.

Matt Harmon

My name is Matt Harmon, an incumbent South Pittsburgh Rebellion board member currently serving as Director of Membership Services. I’m excited to announce my candidacy for reelection.

For the 2025-2026 season, I will serve as head coach for the 2014 Birth Year team and assistant coach for the 2010 Birth Year team, which recently competed at the USA Hockey National Championships. This will mark the 20th youth team I’ve coached as a head or assistant coach across multiple programs.

I’ve proudly supported the development of players at every level, from Blue to Red Mite and into Squirt hockey, and have worked alongside some of the area’s top High School, Collegiate, and Tier 1 coaches. I’m a USA Hockey Level 4 Certified Coach.

A Pittsburgh native, I played amateur hockey locally before competing at the Division 1 level for Duquesne University. I also serve as a USA Hockey Level 4 Official and officiate at the NCAA level, including the 2019-2020 USA Hockey National Championships.

I look forward to continuing to serve and support the South Pittsburgh Rebellion community.

Steven Keller

My name is Steven Keller and I would like to be considered for upcoming board elections.

I have two athletes currently in our 3rd year with the organization; a 13-year-old boy playing for a 2012 BY team who also plays for Canon-McMillan middle school, and an 11-year-old girl playing up on the 14U girls team. We all have enjoyed becoming part of the Rebellion family over the years, and I have helped wherever I can. This usually entails running the clock or keeping score which has helped my knowledge of the game grow and have a closer relationship with the coaching staff of the teams we have been a part of.

Outside of hockey, I have relevant experience that will directly impact my duties serving on the board. I assist in coaching a U11-U14 developmental team for Canon-McMillan Youth Soccer Association for the past 2 years which allows me to understand player emotions and challenges along with triumphs coaches have in season. Additionally, I served as President of a home-owners association for 7 years (2016-2022) that gives me insight on dealing with concerns from the members at large and how to facilitate amicable resolutions when disputes arise. Finally, by profession I am a Project Manager responsible for large construction operations that demand accountability to numerous stakeholders in regards to finances, schedule, and quality while maintaining positive working relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal management.

Overall, I will bring an excited, focused mindset and leverage my experience to continue growth within the organization while maintaining its high standards.
